Community Trusteeship requires taking responsibility for, and acting on behalf of, the common good. It requires looking beyond limited personal or organizational interests. This concept is rooted in the premise that each member of a community is its trustee, with rights and responsibilities which cannot be delegated to a select few; when a community comes together to set its direction, its civic and elected leaders can then act effectively to achieve those goals.
